Sage Science Pippin Prep

This device is used for electroelution of DNA fragments of specified sizes and is often used for Next Gen library prep.  Essentially, it replaces gel band excision of DNA of interest by using cassettes prefilled with varying concentrations of agarose capable of separating fragments from 50-10,000 bp.  Cassettes using external or internal markers are available, allowing for up to five samples to be run in a cassette.  If you chose, you may bring your own cassettes and simply use the electrophoresis apparatus or we will make cassettes available as needed.  User instruction will be made available by lab personnel. Users can run their own cassettes or we can run your samples for you with a labor charge per hour being applied according to the length of the run.
